Louise's parents started the business in 1954. For the past 30 years JoEllen and Louise have stitched together shades for the most discriminating clients, homeowners, designers, party planners, and restaurateurs.
The Rainbow Lampshade Shop has recovered and restored thousands of shades in the Portland metropolitan area as well as throughout the United States. An example of the Rainbow Lampshade Shop's wonderful work is a large restored magnificent chandelier for the Liberty Theater in Astoria, Oregon.
